Why solid walnut
Real wood tops that last longer than the lease
Our solid walnut restaurant table tops start as walnut logged and milled by our family in southeast Iowa. We kiln-dry every board to 7–10% moisture so it stays flat, then build each commercial table top by hand in our Hiawatha shop: 1.6″ thick, solid face-grain walnut with no veneer, particle board or laminate.
We’re a small business that builds for small businesses: restaurants, bars, coffee shops, breweries and event spaces. Order one replacement top or a whole dining room, with no minimum.
- Solid walnut all the way through. No veneer to chip and no laminate edge to peel. Wear can be sanded out and refinished instead of replaced.
- Top only fits the bases you have. Swap worn laminate tops without replacing the bases.
- Every size matches. Bistro rounds, squares, bar-height tops and 4-tops in the same walnut, so the whole room looks like one set.
- Finished or unfinished. Take our zero-VOC hardwax oil finish, or order unfinished and have your finisher apply the coating your designer specifies.
- From our family's sawmill. We cut, kiln-dry and build every top ourselves in Hiawatha, and you can see the walnut at our showroom before you order.

Heights are with our base. All tops are 1.6″ thick, face-grain solid walnut. Other sizes (booth tops, 36″ squares, larger rounds, communal tables) are available as custom orders.

Finished
Zero-VOC hardwax oil, the same finish as our home furniture. Tough, made for daily use, and ready for service the day it arrives. Wipe down with a damp cloth and a mild, pH-neutral cleaner.
Unfinished
Sanded smooth and ready for your finisher or the coating your designer specifies, for $100–$260 less per top depending on size. Seal it before it goes into service, because raw walnut marks and stains easily.

Will a top-only order fit my existing bases?
Our tops are made to mount on standard restaurant table bases. Send us your base brand or model, or the size of the top plate, and we'll confirm the fit before you order.
How does the finish hold up in a busy restaurant?
Our hardwax oil finish is tough and made for daily use. Clean with a damp cloth and a mild, pH-neutral cleaner, then dry. Skip bleach, ammonia and degreasers, and don't leave standing water. Because the top is solid walnut, it can be refinished if it ever needs it. If your designer specifies a different coating, order the tops unfinished.
How long does it take?
We build each top by hand after you order, and it arrives in about 2–3 weeks, including transit. Opening on a deadline? Ask before you order and we'll confirm your date in writing.
How does the 20% bulk discount work?
Add 4 or more tables from our commercial line to your cart, in any mix of sizes, bases and finishes, and enter BULK20 at checkout. It takes 20% off those tables and can't be combined with other codes.
Do you make custom sizes?
Yes. Booth tops, larger rounds, 36″ squares and long communal tables are all possible. Send the sizes and quantities and we'll quote within one business day.
Can I see a top before I order?
Yes. Visit our showroom at 1730 Robins Rd, Hiawatha, Iowa (Mon–Sat 10–5), and see the walnut in person.
What's the warranty?
3 years against structural defects in commercial use, and 1 year on our finish. If something fails, we repair or replace it. See our warranty.
